Objectives
The objectives of the "Potential Assessment and Career Projection" training course are:
- Enable participants to get to know each other better by identifying their skills, abilities, motivations, and professional working styles.
- Identify their distinctive strengths and areas for development, as well as their untapped potential.
- Clarify their potential for growth and their performance drivers,
- Plan a coherent, realistic, and motivating career path.
- To provide the company with a reliable and objective assessment of an employee’s potential, in order to facilitate their placement in the most suitable position and support HR decision-making.
Target audience & prerequisites
Target audience:
The "Potential Assessment and Career Planning"training program is designedfor all high-potential employees, managers or future managers, key experts, and employees who are currently considering their career path, seeking professional development, or going through a career transition.
Prerequisites:
No prerequisites for enrollment in the program
Duration & Organization
Individual or group training (maximum 6 people per group).
The training lasts a total of 10.5 hours, i.e., one and a half continuous days for face-to-face training or three half-days of 3.5 hours for synchronous distance learning.
The course
The "Potential Assessment and Career Planning" training course is structured around six main modules:
Clarify the framework and define the objectives
- Clarify the expectations of the participant and the company.
- Define the framework, educational objectives, and monitoring procedures.
- Establish confidentiality rules.
Identify strengths, weaknesses, and potential
- Identify technical and behavioral skills,
- Assess motivations, values, and engagement factors.
- Identify areas of untapped potential and points requiring vigilance,
- Conduct psychometric and aptitude tests.
Explore professional style and behaviors in situational contexts
- Analyze real-life professional situations,
- Assessment of relational style and decision-making style,
- Identifying contexts and positions that promote performance.
Report and interpret individual results
- Restoration of strengths and areas for development,
- Identification of gaps between current position and potential,
- Provision of a confidential educational report.
Develop a plan for growth and projection
- Identify scenarios for change,
- Define development priorities,
- Develop an Individual Development Plan (IDP),
- Recommendations: training, coaching, assignments, mobility.
Communicate the summary to the company and recommend positioning
- Summary and secure restitution validated by the participant,
- Operational recommendations for optimal positioning,
- Identification of conditions conducive to sustainable performance.

Target skills
The "Potential Assessment and Career Planning" training course aims to develop the following skills:

Skill #1 – Analysis and promotion of professional skills: identifying technical and behavioral skills, analyzing key experiences, and promoting transferable skills.

Skill #2 – Self-awareness and understanding of professional functioning: identifying motivations, values, relational and decision-making styles, as well as factors contributing to commitment and sustainable performance.

Competency #3 – Identifying and projecting professional potential: analyzing adaptability, learning, and development capabilities, and assessing short-, medium-, and long-term potential.

Skill #4 – Creating a professional development plan: develop a realistic action plan that includes areas for development, training, mobility, or support.
Teaching resources and supervision methods
During the “Potential Assessment and Career Planning” training course, participants are guided by an expert trainer. The trainer uses the following techniques and tools, among others:
- Targeted theoretical input,
- Self-awareness tests ORIENTACTION (personality, values, needs, soft skills, etc.) and partners if necessary (Central Test, etc.),
- Analysis of career path and key experiences,
- Educational feedback on results and work on the development plan,
- Case studies and role-playing exercises to immerse participants in various professional scenarios.
- Customized deliverables (summary, skills mapping, development plan).
Means of organizing face-to-face training
You have a choice of training courses:
- On the premises of ORIENTACTION in Le Mans,
- On-site: The trainer conducts the training at your company’s location (travel and accommodation expenses are included in the quote).
Ways of organizing distance learning
Training will be carried out via synchronous distance learning using the ZOOM tool.
ZOOM connection links will be provided by the Training Center.
Remote pedagogical and technical support and assistance
Support and assistance are provided by the same trainer as the one delivering the training. This support and assistance is provided by email or, in an emergency, by telephone.
The trainer’s contact information is provided to the participant at the start of the training session
.
The instructor must respond within 48 hours. If the instructor cannot be reached and this time limit has passed, the participant may contact the academic coordinator, whose contact information is provided in the welcome booklet.
Means for monitoring action implementation and results
At the end of the training course, the trainee fills in an attendance sheet and a satisfaction questionnaire, enabling him/her to assess the training's contribution.
People with disabilities
The training is open to the general public, and all types of disabilities will be accommodated within the limits of the skills, human resources, and equipment available as part of the training program.
If ORIENTACTION does not have the material, technical, and human resources to meet the needs of a participant with a disability, that participant will be referred either to the ORIENTACTION group’s disability liaison or to a partner organization within the ORIENTACTION network.
Access procedures and deadlines
All training requests are accompanied by a quote specifying the total cost (including tax) of the training, as well as the dates of the sessions. The quote is sent electronically via email. Once the quote has been accepted and the training agreement signed, the training may begin.
