Objectives
Time Management training is designed to improve productivity, develop prioritization skills and better manage distractions.
The three key objectives are as follows:
- Identify the main obstacles to effective time management,
- Learn techniques for prioritizing tasks and organizing work,
- Develop strategies to eliminate distractions and manage deadline stress.
Target audience & prerequisites
Duration & Organization
The duration of the course varies according to the formula chosen:
- 6 hours of face-to-face or synchronous distance learning - "essential" formula,
- 12 hours of classroom training or synchronous distance learning - "classic" formula,
- 18 hours of face-to-face or synchronous distance learning - "in-depth" formula.
The course
The program combines theory and practice, so that participants leave with concrete tools for better time management and improved productivity.
DAY 1: Understanding and analyzing time management - 7 hours
1.Welcome and presentation of objectives
- Presentation of the trainer and training objectives,
- Discussion of the participant's specific needs and expectations.
2. Understand your relationship with time
- Personal time management diagnosis: self-assessment of current practices,
- The main obstacles to effective time management (procrastination, multitasking, interruptions),
- Identify time thieves in your daily life.
3. Analysis of priorities and objectives
- Difference between urgency and importance (Eisenhower matrix),
- Definition of short-, medium- and long-term objectives (SMART method),
- Tools for prioritizing tasks: to-do list, ABC analysis.
4. Efficient day planning
- Daily and weekly planning techniques (time block management, personalized diary),
- Managing the unexpected and adjusting priorities,
- Optimize time slots according to your chronotype (biological rhythm).
5. Concept of productive and non-productive time
- Identification of high- and low-energy periods in the day,
- Maximizing productivity hours: Pomodoro techniques, break management,
- Introduction to digital time management tools (calendars, task management applications).
6. Summary and discussion
- Reflection on practices to be modified to improve time management,
- Setting personal goals for Day 2.
DAY 2: Advanced techniques and distraction management - 7 hours
1 Review of Day 1 and adjustment of objectives
- Discussions on what has been learned and the first changes observed,
- Adjustment of personal goals.
2. Managing distractions and interruptions
- Identify sources of distraction (internal and external),
- Techniques to limit distractions: work environment, concentration methods,
- Handling interruptions (calls, emails, colleagues, etc.).
3. Saying "no" and dealing with requests
- Learn to say "no" assertively and professionally,
- Techniques for negotiating deadlines and managing the priorities of others,
- Managing the expectations of superiors, colleagues or customers.
4. Managing time-related stress
- Link between poor time management and stress,
- Stress management techniques: breathing, mindfulness meditation, relaxation,
- Adapt your work rhythm to avoid overwork.
5. Performance monitoring and continuous improvement
- Importance of monitoring and evaluating progress,
- Techniques for adjusting and reassessing practices,
- Use of task-tracking tools (Trello, Asana, Google Calendar).
6. Personal action plan and summary
- Development of an individual action plan to be implemented after training,
- Sharing best practices,
- Training summary and conclusion.
Target skills
The "Time Management" course aims to develop several key skills:
- Identify and understand the factors that negatively influence time management,
- Master tools and methods to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently,
- Plan your day and week realistically and productively,
- Build strategies to limit distractions,
- Learn to say "no" assertively,
- Use performance monitoring and measurement tools, adjust time management methods to maintain optimum productivity (continuous improvement).
Teaching resources, methods and supervision techniques
During the "Time Management" training course, trainees are accompanied by an expert trainer. The trainer uses the following teaching aids and techniques:
- Action plan,
- Stress management techniques,
- Theoretical input,
- Various tools,
- Self-evaluation,
- Continuous feedback.
Conditions for distance learning
There are several possible ways of organizing the event:
MEANS OF ORGANIZING FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING
You have a choice of training courses:
- On the premises of ORIENTACTION, based in Le Mans,
- On-site: the trainer trains at your company (travel costs
and accommodation calculated in the quote).
WAYS OF ORGANIZING DISTANCE LEARNING
- Training will be carried out via synchronous distance learning using the ZOOM tool,
- Links to ZOOM will be provided by the training center.
REMOTE PEDAGOGICAL AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE
Support and assistance are provided by the same trainer as the one delivering the training. This support and assistance is provided by e-mail or, in an emergency, by telephone. The trainer's contact details are provided at the start of the course. The trainer must reply within 48 hours. If the trainer cannot be reached within this time, please contact the person in charge of training, whose contact details are given in the welcome booklet.
Means for monitoring action implementation and results
During the training, you :
- Fill in a sign-in sheet.
On completion of the course, you will :
- Take a knowledge assessment quiz to evaluate the level of knowledge and skills acquired during the course,
- Complete a satisfaction questionnaire to assess the quality of the training (trainer's pedagogical skills, quality of teaching aids, etc.).
People with disabilities
Training is open to all, and all types of disability will be taken into account within the limits of the skills, human and material resources available for the training course. If ORIENTACTION does not have the material, technical and human resources to meet the needs of a disabled participant, the latter will be referred either to the ORIENTACTION group's disability advisor, or to a partner organization of the ORIENTACTION group.
Access procedures and deadlines
All requests for training are accompanied by a quotation specifying the cost (including VAT) of the training, as well as the dates on which it will take place. The estimate is sent in electronic format by e-mail. Once the estimate has been accepted and the training agreement signed, the training can begin. Price and financing of your service
- 600 euros (incl. VAT) for "essential training", i.e. 3 x 2 hours of training.
- 1,200 euros (incl. VAT) for "classic formula" training, i.e. 6X2h of training.
- 1,800 euros (inc. VAT) for "in-depth training", i.e. 9 x 2 hours of training.
Depending on the formula chosen, the program elements are more or less in-depth. The number of exercises on offer and the degree of personalization are greater in the classic and in-depth formulas.
