Objectives
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- Master the fundamentals of career guidance and adopt a professional approach tailored to the various groups being supported,
- Provide support for skills assessments, from analyzing the client’s needs to jointly developing a realistic and achievable career plan,
- Provide outplacement support to assist a participant in their career transition and return to work,
- Supporting an entrepreneur through the various stages of starting a business, from the initial idea to the development of the business plan,
- Support a beneficiary through the process of Validation of Prior Learning (VPL), by helping them document their background and compile their application materials,
- Help a young person define their academic and career goals, taking into account their aspirations, skills, and talents,
- Use interview methods, tools, and techniques tailored to each type of support,
- Develop a personalized action plan designed to promote the beneficiary’s independence and ensure a smooth transition.
Target audience & prerequisites
Duration & Organization
The training program lasts a total of 168 hours, including:
- 105 hours of synchronous online training,
- 63 hours of asynchronous distance learning (lectures, videos and podcasts).
The program can be completed in 6 to 24 months. The master’s program accepts students on a rolling basis.
This means you can enroll and start your training at any time of the year.
The course
The program is structured around five modules of theoretical and practical training covering the main areas of career guidance.

Supporting a participant in a skills assessment: everything you need to know about skills assessments and how to help someone define their career goals;
42 hours of training, including 21 hours of classroom training and 21 hours of asynchronous distance learning. -
Supporting an outplacement client: techniques and methods for assisting job seekers following layoffs, termination for cause, or other reasons.
35 hours of training, including 21 hours of synchronous distance learning and 14 hours of asynchronous distance learning. -
Supporting a client through the business startup process: a guide to helping someone who wants to start their own business and become an entrepreneur;
35 hours of training, including 21 hours of synchronous distance learning and 14 hours of asynchronous distance learning. -
Supporting someone through the VAE process: a guide to helping individuals who wish to have a credential recognized without completing a formal training program;
21 hours of training, including 21 hours of synchronized distance learning. -
Supporting a young person undergoing a career assessment: how to help a young person define their educational and career goals in line with their aspirations and talents. The approach to follow.
35 hours of training, including 21 hours of synchronous distance learning and 14 hours of asynchronous distance learning.
Each module is practical and operational, and enables you to carry out
the support mentioned at the end of the training. It is also possible to complete the module: "Supervising
recruitment activities".
Target skills
Upon completion of the Master’s program in “Career Development Coaching,” participants will be able to:
- Analyze the needs and career paths of the beneficiaries,
- Conduct diagnostic interviews and identify skills, motivations, and obstacles,
- Supporting career transitions: career development, mobility, career change, re-entry into the workforce,
- Develop and solidify a realistic and appropriate career plan,
- Use tools for support, guidance, and career management,
- Advise companies on internal mobility and talent management,
- Mastering employment, training, and career transition programs,
- Adapting support to different audiences and professional contexts,
- Whether you work for a company or as a freelancer,
- Comply with ethical and regulatory standards and maintain confidentiality.
TEACHING RESOURCES, METHODS, AND COACHING TECHNIQUES
The Master’s program in “Career Development Coaching” is based on a practice-oriented approach that combines theory, hands-on experience, and the immediate application of the targeted skills. The program is designed to enable participants to provide coaching services in a professional setting immediately upon completion of the program.
The instructional resources, methods used, and coaching techniques are specified in each customized training module program.
TRAINING DELIVERY TERMS
There are several possible organizational arrangements :
MEANS OF ORGANIZING FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING
The training will be conducted:
- At the ORIENTACTION offices in Le Mans.
METHODS FOR ORGANIZING DISTANCE LEARNING (SYNCHRONOUS)
- Training will be carried out via synchronous distance learning using the ZOOM tool,
- Links to ZOOM will be provided by the training center.
ASYNCHRONOUS DISTANCE LEARNING
- Preparatory readings, videos, and podcasts are provided and should be reviewed prior to in-person or synchronous online training sessions.
EDUCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE
Educational support and technical assistance for distance learning are provided by the training department throughout the trainee’s program.
The training department is available to answer questions regarding the training process, the use of digital tools, access to educational resources, and any difficulties encountered during the training.
Requests can be submitted by email, and we will process them as soon as possible, or by phone in case of an emergency requiring immediate attention.
The full contact information for the training department is provided to the trainee upon signing the training contract and is also included in the welcome booklet provided at the start of the program.
METHODS FOR MONITORING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ACTION AND ITS RESULTS
During the training, you :
- Fill in an attendance sheet and a satisfaction questionnaire to assess the quality of the training (trainer's pedagogical skills, quality of teaching aids, etc.),
- You will take a multiple-choice knowledge assessment at the end of the in-person or synchronous online training session to evaluate your level of knowledge upon completion of the training.
The methods for monitoring the implementation of the initiative and its results are specified in each individualized training module program.
PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
Training is open to all, and all types of disability will be taken into account within the limits of the skills, human and material resources available for the training course. If ORIENTACTION does not have the material, technical and human resources to meet the needs of a disabled participant, the latter will be referred either to the ORIENTACTION group's disability advisor, or to a partner organization of the ORIENTACTION group.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ACCESS
All training requests are accompanied by a quote specifying the total cost (including tax) of the training, as well as the dates on which it will take place. The quote is sent electronically via email. Once the quote has been accepted and the training contract or agreement has been signed, the training may begin after a minimum waiting period of 30 calendar days, which allows for remote training, among other things. Price and financing of your service
- €10,000 (including tax) for the entire training program, of which €1,500 (including tax) may be covered by the CPF (Personal Training Account);
- Your company, France Travail, or Transition Pro may cover all or part of the training costs;
- For payments made by private individuals, payment in instalments is possible.
