The training course “Managing Without a Direct Reporting Relationship: Optimizing Communication, Resilience, Emotional Intelligence, and Leadership” is designed for anyone who needs to coordinate, lead, or influence a team without having a direct reporting relationship.

Duration & Organization

Individual or group training (max. 8 people/group).

Training takes place over 24 consecutive or non-consecutive hours. There are several ways of organizing the course.

  • Setting up an emotional diary,

  • Deciphering emotional and bodily signals,
  • Emotional awareness and regulation (NLP),
  • Development of an emotional management plan.

  • Communication fundamentals,
  • Active listening tools: reformulation, validation, questioning,
  • Role-playing: active listening in a hostile environment.

  • Perceptual positions (NLP): self, other, observer, systemic,

  • Presentation of the 9 profiles,
  • Strengths and vulnerabilities of each management profile,
  • Practical exercises: adapting your support.

Session 11 - Resilience, stress management & decision-making in complexity

  • Understand stress and its mechanisms,
  • Resilience and energy management tools,
  • Centering, relaxation and anchoring exercises,
  • Decision-making in complex and uncertain environments (VUCA),
  • Case study: refereeing under pressure.

Session 12 - Feedback culture & final action plan

  • Give and receive constructive feedback,
  • Transform feedback into a tool for progress,
  • Integrative case study: managing a team in crisis,
  • Co-construction of a personalized progress plan,
  • Final feedback and outlook.

Target skills

The "Manager without hierarchical links: optimizing communication, resilience, emotional intelligence and leadership" training program aims to develop the following skills:

  • Competency n°1 - Managing emotions and stress: ability to recognize one's own emotions and those of others, to mobilize emotional regulation techniques and to maintain a constructive posture in complex or tense situations.
  • Competency no. 2 - Collaborative and adaptive leadership: exercise influential leadership without a direct hierarchical link, by strengthening your ability to adapt, your assertiveness and your positive impact on team dynamics.
  • Competency no. 3 - Effective communication and constructive feedback: master active listening, non-violent communication and assertive feedback to foster cooperation, trust and collective intelligence.

Teaching resources, methods and supervision techniques

During the "Manager without hierarchical links: optimizing communication, resilience, emotional intelligence and leadership" training course, trainees are accompanied by an expert trainer. The trainer uses the following teaching aids and techniques:

  • Theoretical input (leadership, management, emotions, NVC, NLP, Spiral Dynamics, Enneagram),
  • Practical exercises: role-playing, role-playing situations, conflict simulations,
  • Regular self-assessments,
  • Emotional diary for follow-up,
  • Emotional and stress management plan,
  • Continuous feedback (instructor ↔ participant).

Course Requirements

There are several possible ways of organizing the event:

MEANS OF ORGANIZING FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING

You have a choice of training courses:

  • On the premises of ORIENTACTION in Le Mans,
  • On-site: the trainer trains at your company (travel costs
    and accommodation calculated in the quote).

WAYS OF ORGANIZING DISTANCE LEARNING

  • Training will be carried out via synchronous distance learning using the ZOOM tool,
  • Links to ZOOM will be provided by the training center.

REMOTE PEDAGOGICAL AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE

Support and assistance are provided by the same trainer as the one delivering the training. This support and assistance is provided by email or, in an emergency, by telephone.

The trainer's contact details are provided at the start of the course.

The trainer must reply within 48 hours. If the trainer cannot be reached after this deadline, please contact the person in charge of training, whose contact details are given in the welcome booklet.

Means for monitoring action implementation and results

During the training, you:

  • Fill in a sign-in sheet.

On completion of the course, you will :

  • Please complete a satisfaction survey to help us evaluate the quality of the training (the trainer’s teaching skills, the quality of the training materials, etc.).
