Objectives
At the end of the course, you should be able to help a young person define young people in defining their career and study plans. You'll need to have acquired the skills required to carry out career guidance assessments, helping young people to gain a better understanding of themselves, their study paths and their career options. young people to gain a better understanding of themselves, study paths and professions.

Duration & Organization
The training course lasts 35 hours, i.e. a total of 5 training days, including :
- 14 hours of asynchronous distance learning, equivalent to 2 days' training,
- 21 hours of synchronous face-to-face or remote training over 3 consecutive days.
The course
The "Accompanying a beneficiary of a career assessment" training course is structured in two main parts.
The French education system
- The general philosophy of the French system :
- History of the French school system,
- Rank logic: classification of the different courses, history of the competitive examination system, principles of selection and distribution,
- Social determinism: the role of social determinism in the choices made by students and their parents,
- Determinants of success at school: differences and similarities with the professional world, elements of understanding.
- The different types of higher education in France
- Before the Bac: general, technological and vocational education,
- From bac to bac +3: Prépa, Prépa intégrée, Bachelor, DUT and BUT, BTS, university,
- From bac to bac + 5: The different types of Masters in Business Schools, Engineering Schools, Specialized Schools, IAE, University,
- Beyond bac +5: Specialized Masters and doctorates.
How to carry out an orientation assessment
- Know how to use, render and interpret the tests used in career guidance assessments
- Orientation test (R.I.A.S.E.C. model)
- The values test,
- The 32 figures of destiny test,
- Personality test.
- Conducting interviews with young people and their parents
- The interview to discover and get to know the young person and his/her parents (questions to ask, topics to discuss, elements of understanding, etc.),
- Intermediary interviews: how to help the young person reveal him/herself, so as to build a motivating and engaging study and career plan that reflects who he/she is,
- The feedback interview with the presentation of the project by the young person to his/her parents, with the help of the consultant, and the drafting of a summary.
- Managing problem situations with the young people and their parents
- The case of young people failing at school, experiencing psychological difficulties or in conflict with their parents,
- The case of academic demotivation: how to remotivate a young person in a situation of academic demotivation and disengagement,
- The case of school failure: how to give young people and their parents the keys to understanding and taking action to get back on the road to academic success.

The "Accompanying a beneficiary of a career assessment" training program aims to acquire and validate the following skills:

Understanding the organization of the French education system
Study courses and apprenticeships, and explain them to young people and their parents, -
Know how to carry out matching analysis
Between what characterizes the young person, at the stage he/she is at in his/her development, and the possible professional environments, courses of study and learning methods, -
Support the young person through the various phases of the career assessment process
From life-course analysis to the development of a professional and educational project, including the testing phase and research into existing and possible career paths.
Teaching resources, methods and supervision techniques
The "Accompanying a beneficiary of a career guidance assessment" course covers all aspects of supporting young people in developing their career and study plans. It is based on a tried and tested method enriched by ORIENTACTION's 12 years of experience in the field of career guidance and school coaching (over 1,000 young people supported). The co-founder of the ORIENTACTION group, Dr. Emeric Lebreton, has taught at universities (Classics and DUT), business schools (Audencia) and engineering schools (École des Ponts). This training course is an opportunity for him to share his knowledge of these courses and their links with student psychology.
Ways of organizing distance learning
Asynchronous distance learning is based on a set of documents to be consulted and podcasts to be listened to before the face-to-face or synchronous distance learning part of the course.
Pedagogical and technical support and assistance
Support and assistance for distance learning is provided by the training manager. This support is provided by email or, in an emergency, by telephone. The contact details of the training manager are sent to the trainee at the start of the course.
Means for monitoring action implementation and results
On completion of the course, you will :
- Fill in an attendance sheet and a satisfaction questionnaire to assess the quality of the training (trainer's pedagogical skills, quality of teaching aids, etc.),
- Take an MCQ to assess your knowledge and skills.
People with disabilities
Training is open to all, and all types of disability will be taken into account, within the limits of the skills, human and material resources available for the training provided. If ORIENTACTION does not have the material, technical and human resources to meet the needs of a disabled participant, the latter will be referred either to the ORIENTACTION group's disability advisor, or to a partner organization in the ORIENTACTION network.
Access procedures and deadlines
All requests for training are accompanied by a quotation specifying the cost (including VAT) of the training, as well as the dates on which it will take place. The estimate is sent in electronic format by e-mail. Once the estimate has been accepted and the training contract or agreement has been signed, the training can begin with a minimum lead time of 30 calendar days, to allow for distance learning.

Certification
This training leads to the award of a certificate of competence in the practice of guidance counselling. This certificate is not a state-recognized diploma. It gives access to all the tools and methodological aids used by ORIENTACTION for career assessment support. The tools may be used freely within the framework of a commercial activity, provided that they belong to the ORIENTACTION group (subcontracting agreement or brand licensing and commercial partnership agreement). The award of this certificate is conditional on passing an assessment test consisting of a multiple-choice questionnaire.
Price and financing of your service
2,000 euros incl. VAT for 35 hours of training, i.e. 57 euros / hour.
