  • A level 5 diploma in the humanities (Psychology, Sociology, Education Sciences, etc.),
  • At least 3 years' professional experience,
  • Wishing to develop a specific skill in supporting beneficiaries of school career assessments.

Assessment methods

Test: role-playing.

Duration: 30 min.

Assessment methods :

Based on a case study, the candidate conducts an information interview in which he/she presents the school career assessment to the members of the jury, who play the role of a beneficiary and one of his/her two parents. In particular, the candidate must present :

The objectives, procedure, methodology and expected results of a career assessment,

Where applicable, the financial terms and conditions.

The jury assesses the performance using the evaluation grid provided.

Test: dissertation and defense :

The brief/description :

The candidate writes a dissertation based on the support provided to a beneficiary of a school career assessment, according to the framework provided.

The candidate develops in his or her thesis :

  • An analysis of the initial request from the beneficiary and his/her parents,
  • A detailed analysis of the school career assessment process (interviews, exercises, etc.),
  • A detailed, well-argued description of the orientation project chosen by the beneficiary,
  • An anonymized copy of the summary of the school career assessment is provided in the appendix,
  • Administrative documents (service contract, attendance sheet, etc.) are provided in the appendix.

Length: 20 to 30 pages.

The jury assesses the candidate using the evaluation grid provided.

Support/description :

The candidate introduces him/herself, his/her background and project (5 to 10 min).

He/she is questioned by the jury on the choices made during the school career assessment (20 min).

Duration: 30 min.

Evaluation: the jury has a list of themes and questions to address, and an evaluation grid for questioning the candidate on the progress of the school career assessment and the relevance of his or her choices and analyses.

Certified skills

The "Accompagner un(e) bénéficiaire de bilan d'orientation scolaire" certification is designed for guidance professionals (psychologists or guidance counselors) who wish to develop and validate a specific skill in carrying out school career assessments. The "Accompagner un(e) bénéficiaire de bilan d'orientation scolaire" certification covers the acquisition and validation of the following three skills:

  • Carry out an information interview on the school career guidance assessment, following three stages (listening and analyzing the need, presenting the support methodology, validating the approach) in order, where appropriate, to set up the service in agreement with the young person and his/her parents (or legal guardians),

  • Accompany the beneficiary in his/her career assessment, respecting the various stages and the support methodology developed by the organization (framing phase, testing and investigation phase, validation phase) to enable the beneficiary to draw up a realistic and coherent school career plan,

  • Carry out administrative tasks (preparing the contract, signing the attendance sheet) by filling in the various documents, in order to set up and certify the effective completion of the service.
