Objectives
By the end of this training, you will be able to:
- Conduct career development counseling sessions using appropriate tools as part of the support provided to an employee (promotion, reassignment, termination, or mutual termination, etc.),
- Identify the employee’s interests, motivations, and interpersonal skills in order to develop a plan with them, which may include a training program,
- Draw up an action plan to implement a career plan that goes beyond experience and qualifications.
Target audience & prerequisites
Duration & Organization
- 2 continuous days, i.e. 14 hours, face-to-face
- Option: 3 hours of remote support (via video conferencing or phone) divided into 2 sessions of 1.5 hours each

Be able to identify values and personal and professional motivations:
- Analyze the employee's work motivations, professional values, and preferences,
- Better understand your employee's "philosophy,"
- Discover the employee’s main interests,
- Discover the different business sectors and corporate support functions that could be of interest to you.
Discover the different personality types:
- Understand the real issues involved in understanding professional personality,
- Understand the 8 oriented functions,
- Discover the 16 personality types,
- Combine different approaches to verify the consistency of the employee’s responses.
Review an employee’s background and skills:
- Identify cultural capital,
- Evaluate the symbolic capital that can be mobilized,
- Identify the five personality factors,
- List your most memorable experiences,
- List extra-professional achievements.
Summarize the employee's career plan:
- Describe your professional project,
- Transcribe the assets needed to succeed (motivations),
- Draw up development plans,
- Develop action plan.
The training course “Supporting an Employee Through a Career Development Assessment,” offered by ORIENTACTION, uses specific assessment tools to help identify an employee’s values, needs, personality, and key interests in order to explore potential career development opportunities.
Teaching resources, methods and supervision techniques
- Active teaching method,
- Role-playing to better understand test results and height,
- Testing,
- Theoretical instruction supplemented by specialized tests, role-playing exercises, and games designed to help participants master the tools,

Course Requirements
There are several possible organizational arrangements :
MEANS OF ORGANIZING FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING
The training will be conducted in one of the following formats:
- On the premises of ORIENTACTION, based in Le Mans,
- On-site: The trainer conducts the training at your company’s location (travel and accommodation expenses are included in the quote).
WAYS OF ORGANIZING DISTANCE LEARNING
- Training will be carried out via synchronous distance learning using the ZOOM tool,
- Links to ZOOM will be provided by the training center.
REMOTE PEDAGOGICAL AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE
Support and assistance are provided by the same trainer as the one delivering the training. This support and assistance is provided by e-mail or, in an emergency, by telephone. The trainer's contact details are provided at the start of the course. The trainer must reply within 48 hours. If the trainer cannot be reached within this time, please contact the person in charge of training, whose contact details are given in the welcome booklet.
Means for monitoring action implementation and results
- During the training, the trainee fills out an attendance form,
- At the end of the training, the trainee fills out a satisfaction survey to evaluate the benefits of the program,
- An ORIENTACTION training certificate is issued at the end of the course.
People with disabilities
Training is open to all, and all types of disability will be taken into account within the limits of the skills, human and material resources available for the training course. If ORIENTACTION does not have the material, technical and human resources to meet the needs of a disabled participant, the latter will be referred either to the ORIENTACTION group's disability advisor, or to a partner organization of the ORIENTACTION group.
